School Based Tutoring

At Foston, Terrington and Stillington Primary Schools we offer School-Led Tutoring for those children who are in receipt of pupil premium in years 1-6. We will use teaching assistants to deliver the tutoring and ensure the sessions are delivered to a high-quality to meet the children’s needs.
School Subjects
The tutoring sessions will focus on mathematics, English or science. Our focus is to help pupils catch up on lost learning due to the pandemic.
Group sizes
The children will be in small groups of 1:6 for the tutoring sessions with an aim to maintain high-quality and impactful tuition.
Delivery
The tutoring sessions will take place during the school day, but not during Mathematics, English or Science lessons. The children will still have access to the full curriculum.
Tutoring Length
The children will receive 12-15 hours of tutoring that will have a meaningful impact on pupil attainment.
