Welcome to our Governor Section

The three main functions of the Governing Body are to:

o    Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.

o    Hold the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its     pupils, and the performance management of staff.

o    Oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure its money is well spent.

Our Structure

In order to improve communication and increase transparency of decision making, in September 2018 we abolished committees in favour of more regular Full Governing Body meetings. This has resulted in improved information sharing and a greater collective knowledge of the school's needs and areas for improvement. The full Governing Board meet at least eight times throughout the academic year.

The Governing Board is comprised of 9 governors as follows:

o    Two parent governors;
o    One Local Authority governor;
o    One staff governor;
o    Headteacher;
o    Four co-opted governors.
